Watch the Trailer for the Final Season of Apple TV+'s See

Apple TV+

On Wednesday, the Apple TV+ series “See” released a teaser trailer for its upcoming third season, which will be the show's final chapter.

The Jason Mamoa- led sci-fi drama takes place in a future dystopia and tribal society where humankind no longer has the ability to see. The ensemble working alongside the “Aquaman” star are, for the most part, visually impaired. Oftentimes in television, blindness has not been depicted as a source of strength, however, this show illustrates the way a society can adapt to a disability.

Bree Klauser, a visually impaired actress on the show, told Fanbyte,

“This is a big start to have low vision actors play these types of characters that are breaking the mold, breaking the paradigm, and that’s what I would like to see: stories about blind characters where they’re not playing tropes.”

Fans are excited for the interesting twist foreshadowed in the upcoming third season.

“After centuries of darkness, sight is returning,” the trailer reveals.

The trailer shows a rival group acquiring a weapon, for world domination, that utilizes the ability to see. With sight coming into the equation, it will be exciting to see how Jason Momoa’s visually impaired character, Baba Voss, will protect his tribe, Paya, and sighted twins. Jonathan Tropper, one of the show’s executive producers, said in a statement,

“We are thrilled to share this epic final chapter of ‘See,’ which delivers all the intense drama, riveting action, and heartfelt emotion fans have come to expect, as well as what we think is a deeply satisfying conclusion to our story.”

Season 3 of "See," the final chapter of the series, will begin airing on August 26.
