Prior to the release of season 4, part 1 of Netflix’s "Stranger Things" on May 26th, the cast went on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" to recap the seasons prior.
“It’s almost been three years since the last season, so I got together with some friends to help catch everyone up on everything that happened,” "The Tonight Show’s" host, Jimmy Fallon, announced to the audience.
Season three aired back in July 2019, so fans were excited to see the reunion between Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Maya Hawke and Priah Ferguson.
In typical Stranger Things fashion, the cast rapped the recap of seasons 1-3. The musical ensemble surprised fans yet again with their rhythm and talent. The rap include smooth, comedic verses such as “Is a doozy, so you better grab the tissues/Max and Billy hit the scene, and he’s got daddy issues,” and “Hopper isn’t happy that Eleven’s kissin’ boys/But then he turns around and puts the moves on Joyce.”
In the comments, fans were particularly amazed at 23-year-old Hawke’s voice. Daughter of actress Uma Thurman and actor Ethan Hawke, Maya Hawke, was introduced in season 3 of the show as Robin Buckley. Fans are hoping to see more of Hawke in the upcoming season.
The audience was taken on a humorous walk down memory lane as the cast recounted the events leading up to season 4. We were able to see how the show progressed from Dustin, Lucas, Will and Mike playing Dungeons and Dragons in season 1, to saving the world from Russian spies season 3.
