One of Hollywood's "most iconic" friend groups will not be reuniting for a third season.

MTV has officially confirmed that 'The Hills: New Beginnings' will not return after its two season run.

The series brought back original cast members of the hit reality TV series, The Hills, which ran from 2006 to 2010. The reboot featured Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag and more, as they embarked on new chapters in their lives after years apart.

Bona fide cast member and designer Lauren Conrad, however, did not make an appearance. Though, she still gave the show her blessing.

Conrad admitted she hadn't seen any episodes, telling ET that she doesn't watch any reality TV after her time on The Hills.

"It's a little triggering for me."

The cancellation of the show does not seem to come as a complete shock to some of the cast. Montag and Pratt talked to ET about the possibility of a season three back in May, explaining that they thought it was unlikely with the current cast.

"I would imagine if there was a season 3, it would be with an all-new cast because after this season, I don't see how everyone would be able to be in the same room once this airs."

Spencer told the outlet.

"We don't even know what people are saying in their testimonials."

While fans of the show are sad to see it end, there is still some hope. A source told ET that The Hills franchise would live on in new iterations to come.

In the meantime, previous episodes of the show are available to steam on Paramount +
