We knew the new Spider-Man title had something to do with home. After conspiracy theories made by fans in a matter of hours were released, fans were happy to be told the official title of the third film.
'Spider-Man: No Way Home'

With Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) being the last Marvel film before the outbreak of Covid-19, audiences have taken details of Spider-Man 3 very seriously. The past two days have been quite the rollercoaster for Spider-Man fans with the stars of the franchise individually posting three different names for the title release, pranking fans and encouraging conspiracists.
However, the chaos was put to rest through the Spider-Man social media accounts in a funny little video with our favorite cast members back together with humorous banter.
Possible Name #1 per Tom Holland
Spider-Man actor Tom Holland took to his Instagram yesterday to announce the Spider-Man 3's title to be Spider-Man: Phone Home.
The Critics' Choice Movie Award nominated actor captioned the post with,
"So excited to announce the new Spider-Man title. Can't wait for you lot to see what we have been up to. Love from Atlanta."
This seemed to confuse his co-stars Jacob Batalon and Zendaya who seemed to not get the same memo.
Possible Name #2 per Jacob Batalon
Jacob Batalon who plays Peter Parker's best friend Edward "Ned" Leeds in the MCU flick seemed to get a different message. Batalon took to his Instagram to post the following pictures revealing the third installment's name to be Spider-Man: Home-Wrecker.
Batalon's caption read,
"We're so excited to share the TITLE of our new movie!! Swipe right for the big reveal!!🤩😝😱also enjoy this exclusive still from the movie, just an extra gift from us😘"
Holland seemed to be more than confused with the announcement commenting,
Possible Name#3 per Zendaya
Zendaya who plays Michelle "MJ" Jones announced shortly after to her 87.8 million fans the name of the film would be... Spider-Man: Home Slice with the caption,
"So excited to announce the new Spider-Man title. So proud of this one...FOS is back! (Friends of Spider-Man)"
This seemed to be the last straw as Batalon and Holland commented under the Emmy Award winning actress's post stating,
Real Name Finally Revealed
A whole day after the rollercoaster of names, the official Spider-Man accounts released a video with Holland, Batalon, and Zendaya discussing the confusion. Batalon and Zendaya put the blame on Holland for the secrecy, due to his famous habit of accidentally leaking Marvel information.
Holland leaves director Jon Watts office with no answers and the three talk while walking by a white board revealing the true name Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
The official poster for the film reads "Only in Movie Theaters. This Christmas." under the film's name.
So, we'll see all of you Marvel fans on December 25, 2021 at theaters for the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
