Our Favorite Angelina Jolie Performances Throughout the Years

Angelina Jolie

Which one is your favorite performance?

Actor, director, producer, and activist Angelina Jolie is stranger to Hollywood who has built to become an icon over the years.

Jolie made her very first on screen performance in John Voight's 1982 film Lookin' to Get Out. Since then, she has gone on to star in films like Salt (2010), Beowulf (2007), Shark Tale (2004) and The One and Only Ivan (2020). She is set to star in Marvel's The Eternals which is slated to be in theaters next year and this weekend she will be starring alongside David Oyelowo, Michael Caine, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in the new film Come Away. In honor of the latest release we're breaking down our favorite Jolie performances throughout the years.

Girl, Interrupted

Girl, Interrupted is the film that earned Jolie her Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 2000. Jolie starred alongside Winona Ryder, Clea DuVall, Brittany Murphy, Elisabeth Moss, Jared Leto, Jeffrey Tambor, Vanessa Redgrave and Whoopi Goldberg based on the writer Susanna Kaysen. Set in the 1960s Ryder starred as Kaysen and her story about her 18-month stay at a mental hospital. Ryder may be the star, but it's Jolie as Lisa who steals her incredible performance.
