Five-time Emmy winner Candice Bergen will be guest starring on a brand new episode of The Conners.
Bergen is best known for starring as Murphy Brown on the comedy series, Murphy Brown and will return to TV in the Roseanne spinoff series. Bergen will be starring as Ben's (Jay R. Ferguson) mother, Barb. Check out Bergen in the promo posted below.
According to Deadline who got the exclusive news revealed that Barb is very judgmental of her son's relationship with his girlfriend Darlene (Sara Gilbert) who also has a sharp tongue. Deadline stated about Bergen's character:
much more agreeable when she's had a few more drinks.
The current third season has the Conners facing many hardships including the Coronavirus. Bergen who is also a two-time Golden Globe winner can recently be seen in the new HBO Max film Let Them All Talk starring alongside Meryl Streep, Lucas Hedges, and Dianne West directed by Steven Soderbergh.
The Conners airs Wednesdays at 9/8 C on ABC and new episodes of the series will return 1/13.
