Michael Fishman On Directing 'The Conners' Halloween Special & Inclusivity In Show Business

Michael Fishman on Directing The Conners Halloween Episode

It's Halloween on The Conners, and Michael Fishman is taking his role as "Director" very seriously

D.J. Conner continues to grow before our very eyes.

Michael Fishman is sitting in the Director's Chair for the fan-favorite Halloween Episode of The Conners.

Fishman telling Advocate Channel what fans can expect, and why he is especially honored to be the Director of this episode in particular. Fishman telling Social Producer, Ricky Cornish,

"Halloween's always kind of one of our most complex episodes... with all of the costumes and the makeup and special effects, we add an extra layer of stuff. So for my network directorial debut to be given that responsibility was such a vote of confidence."

Fishman also talking with Advocate Channel about his focus on inclusivity telling us,

"I'm all about inclusion. We hear people in Hollywood talk about it all the time and it is kind of buzzwords. But for me to be able to empower Geena Ray through this episode as Mary, to be able to really incorporate the kids in a special way and celebrate the holiday I think fans will appreciate the pranks and the costumes and the interaction."

A special Halloween episode of The Conners airs tonight on ABC. Watch even more of our interview with Michael Fishman on Advocate Channel.
