We all love the distinctive, hilarious voices from our favorite cartoons. But, hearing those voices in another show, especially when the voice actor is in human form, can be wildly uncomfortable and weird. Let's take a look at voice actors who have switched over to live action!
Kristen Schaal Takes Off the Bunny Ears
Kristen Schaal is best known for her role as the vindictive and pink eared Louise Belcher on the FOX smash hit Bob's Burgers, but she's been in a lot more than that.
Her psychotic little girl voice made its way into live action for the NBC sitcom 30 Rocka few years back, with a recurring role as NBC Page Hazel Wassername.
Hearing Louise's voice come out of a real person is deeply unsettling, but that adds to the already unsettling nature of Hazel herself in a fantastic way.
Tom Kenny on That 70s Show
Tom Kenny has racked up role after role after role that we find memorable and endearing, and yet he still receives no notoriety. He's played The Ice King in Adventure Time, the narrator and the mayor in Powerpuff Girls, and oh yeah, this guy named Spongebob Squarepants.
He's made a few live action appearances as well, like this clip from That 70s Show.
Mark Hamill as Fire Lord Ozai
ATLA stands alongside Spongebob and iCarlyas one of the titans of childhood. It's a pioneer in the anime field, the show that's brought about so much love and fan excitement for over a decade.
But, fun fact, you know who voiced Fire Lord Ozai? Luke freaking Skywalker. This is more of a big screen actor in a cartoon, but whatever, isn't that nuts?
Patrick Warburton
The man you probably know best as Joe Swanson from Family Guyand the lovable Kronk in The Emperor's New Groove has quite a bit of live action chops as well.
Warburton, the deepest voice in the world, has brought his distinctive flair to Capital One commercials for years now, but he also played General Rick Stoner in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC for three years.
Remy from Ratatouille
Ratatouille is one of the most memorable food movies, well, ever. It's a tale of love and pursuing a life driven by passion no matter those barriers, and truly one of Pixar's greatest creations.
The man behind the mouse, Patton Oswalt, is one of the most acclaimed comedians in the business today. He's a hero to nerds everywhere, a brilliant comedian, and makes consistent appearances on shows like Parks and Recand Brooklyn 99. You go, Patton.
