First Look at the New Series

Paparazzi pictures from the set of Powerpuff sparked skepticism as critics pointed out the value of the costuming for one of the flashback scenes. However, the girls have come back from the criticism stronger than ever in CW's first look at the series.

Starring Dove Cameron, Chloe Bennet, and Yana PerraultPowerpuff follows the Powerpuff Girls as young women navigating their lives after a childhood of being superheroes.

Chloe Bennet as Blossom

Known for her role as Daisy on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013-2020), Chloe Bennet will be playing the group's leader Blossom. In her 20's, Blossom is seen as anxious and unsure after a childhood of trying to be perfect.

Dove Cameron as Bubbles

Actress and singer Dove Cameron is best known as Mal in Disney's Descendants (2015-2019) trilogy, as well as both Liv and Maddie in Liv and Maddie (2013-2017). Now, Cameron plays the Powerpuff Bubbles, a hero who is more concerned with fame, but may find herself throughout the series.

Yana Perrault as Buttercup

Finishing out the trio is Yana Perrault as Buttercup. In her breakout role, Perrault will play the badass superhero trying to live an anonymous life.

Donald Faison as Professor Utonium

Scrubs (2001-2010) star Donald Faison plays the girls' father Professor Utonium who is described to be going through a midlife crisis.
