The taming of the flu: 81-year-old William Shakespeare is one of the first to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Britain has begun vaccinating people with the Pfizer/BioNTech Coronavirus vaccination. Among the first few to get the shot is William "Bill" Shakespeare.


Shakespeare Gets His Shot

Just 20 miles from the birthplace of the actual playwright, 81-year-old William Shakespeare of the same name became the second patient outside clinical trials to get the COVID-19 vaccine at University Hospital Coventry. Britain is the first country in the world to start vaccinating its people.
