Dr. Andrew Ordon of The Doctors shared his experience contracting COVID-19 with Advocate Channel, but now, he's sharing everything he knows about the vaccine.
Dr. Ordon became the patient when he contracted COVID-19 in May of 2020. The doctor is now recovered and has received the vaccine.
"I got my two vaccinations. I got the Pfizer- first shot, second shot, I responded well to that. So, between the two of them, having had COVID and getting the vaccine, I feel good number one, and I feel relatively safe, but now's not the time to let our guard down," Dr. Ordon said.
The doctor addressed the opposition from anti-vaxxers during this time, encouraging viewers to not be afraid.
"It's the perfect storm for these anti-vaxxers, that they are already out there poo-pooing flu shots, poo-pooing the normal childhood shots... As a physician, somebody who has two kids that got all the vaccines, these are the greatest things in the world that prevent disease!"
He also urged celebrities to use their platform to spread the word, especially when it comes to reaching minority communities.
"I don't know anyone that I would categorize as having had a really adverse reaction so, it's safe. Get vaccinated."
