Dolly Parton, who helped fund the Moderna vaccine, got her first dose of the immunization in Nashville on Tuesday.
"Vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vaccine. I'm begging of you please don't hesitate."
Dolly Parton sang to her followers in the tune of her hit Jolene, urging everyone to do their part in ending the Coronavirus spread and to get their vaccine.
Aside from her rhymes and light-hearted, funny demeanor, the country-singer did have a serious message for her audience:
"I think we all want to get back to normal, whatever that is, and that could be a great shot in the arm wouldn't it? If we could get back to that. But anyhow, I just wanted to encourage everybody, 'cause the sooner we get to feelin' better, the sooner we are gonna get back to being normal.
Afterward, she showed everyone her own vaccination, administered by her friend Dr. Naji Abumrad.
The star joked she got "a dose of her own medicine," on account of her $1 million donation to the researching and developing of the Moderna vaccine from last year.
"Don't be such a chicken squat! Get out there and get your shot."
