The series follows single mother and school teacher, Elizabeth Thatcher, as she maneuvers living in the frontier town of Hope Valley.

Erin Krakow, who plays Thatcher in the show, spilled on the new faces and commotion in town.

"Hope Valley is absolutely booming. There's all kinds of new activity in town... new businesses opening up, new characters joining us in town. There's a lot of action happening and it's going to feel like a very full season premiere," Krakow said.

In this new season, fans are particularly looking forward in Elizabeth's relationship with Lucas.

"We're going to have a lot of sweet scenes together... where we get to explore the romance a bit more. It's a really lovely chapter in Elizabeth's life."

The series isn't shying away fro the drama either. Kevin McGarry, who plays Officer Nathan Grant, opened up on his character's journey after having his heart broken last season.

"New people come into his life, he's also trying to raise his niece and he's also trying to keep the town safe, so there might be a little bad guy chase or something," McGarry said.

After nine seasons, the support from fans is just as strong and the cast couldn't be more grateful for their "hearties."

"We're super lucky that way. It is such a strong group of people that really love the show," Kayla Wallace said.

When Calls the Heart premieres Sunday, March 6th, on Hallmark Channel.
