A Christmas Treasure, starring American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, will soon enter our homes.

In the movie, Sparks plays a woman that wants to further her writing career by moving to the most competitive city: New York... but she'll also find love along the way.

The singer's character keeps bumping into chef Kyle and Sparks talked about the dynamic between the two:

"They connect and they really start to bond over the forks in the road that they've come to," Sparks said.

Sparks doesn't only act in the movie... she's also executive producer and sings two original songs, which bring incredible joy to the singer.

"I get to sing two songs and it really was a blast. This is my first time executive producing as well," Sparks said.

But playing a role in a Hallmark's movie is not the only gift that Sparks has in store for fans. The singer is just about to release an album with brand new songs, with some of them featuring some Christmas' ones.

"Mariah's the Queen, I'm going to be the Princess," Sparks said.

In case it wasn't clear, Sparks is definitely "taking over this Christmas season."
