May 15: Keegan Michael-Key and Olivia Rodrigo
Actor and comedian Keegan Michael-Key will be making his hosting debut on May 15. Key may be a fresh face to SNL, but the Keanu (2016) star is no stranger to the sketch comedy world. Making his big break alongside Jordan Peele on Key & Peele (2012-2015), the Emmy winner has made himself known in comedy.
Key performs next in Schmigadoon! (2021-), a musical comedy series starring Key and SNL cast member Cecily Strong, July 16 on Apple TV+.
Debuting alongside Key is everyone's favorite teenage artist, Olivia Rodrigo. Rodrigo is the first artist to have her two proper debut singles on the Billboard Top 10 at the age of 18. Whether you're familiar with Rodrigo or not, hardcore SNL fans know of her debut hit "drivers license" (2021) as the show did a whole sketch on it with host Regé-Jean Page.
Rodrigo's debut album SOUR (2021) hits shelves on May 21, a week after her SNL performance.
May 22: Anya Taylor-Joy and Lil Nas X
Golden Globe winning actress Anya Taylor-Joy is set to close the season out on May 22. The star of The Queen's Gambit (2020) is also known for her work in The Witch (2015) and Marvel's The New Mutants (2020).
Lil Nas X made a name for himself with his 2019 hit "Old Town Road." Now, the artist is making his SNL debut after being recognized for his newest hit "MONTERO" (2021), which landed at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Saturday Night Live returns May 8 with host Elon Musk and musical guest Miley Cyrus, only on NBC.
