Actress Regina Hall is preparing to host the 2022 Academy Awards with Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes. She spoke with ET during the Independent Spirit Awards about the upcoming award ceremony.

During the 2022 Independent Spirit Awards, Hall presented the award for Best Supporting Male. While presenting the award she said:

"It's a little test on the stage, right before the big stage."

As Hall was interviewed on the red carpet of the event, she spoke about her nerves and excitement for the Oscars. She noted that part of her excitement was because the three ladies will be hosting the show during Women's History Month.

"I think it's exciting, like, it's Women's History Month, it's quite historic, like all of us together."

Hall added in the interview:

"I'm kind of excited and nervous and everything! But I think it's gonna be a fun night."

It certainly is one of the biggest nights in Hollywood, but with these three comedic women hosting there is sure to be a lot of laughs. ET asked Hall during the interview how they are all going to use their strengths.

Hall said:

"I don't know! I'll have to see. I mean, that's the big thing of working it out. The part that feels good [is] the fact that, you know, I am surrounded by that [level of comedic talent], but it's also the part that's probably a little scary, too, because they are really great at like hard jokes and doing standup."

The 2022 Academy Awards will air March 27 on ABC.
