Julia Fox has, once again, divided the Internet! This time, it's with her recent shocking Instagram comment.

Many stances have been taken in the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial since it began on April 11 2022. Johnny Depp is suing his ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million for defamation. At this point in the trial, both parties have testified alongside other notable witnesses. The suit has exposed many different viewpoints on social media, with the newest coming from Italian-American actress and model Julia Fox, which has since sent the internet into a frenzy.

Fox took to Instagram to share her thoughts under a post discussing the high profile case. Her words show a rare signal of support for Heard, who is counter-suing her ex-husband for $100 million. This comes after Heard wrote an op-ed article detailing her experience of of domestic abuse in the Washington Post in December 2018.

In her comment, Fox discusses the idea of power dynamics in abusive relationships. She writes:

"[Amber Heard] never had the power in the relationship to be abusive to him. Did she hit him? Yes. Was it abuse? No.You need to have power to be able to abuse it. She was 25. He clearly was always way more powerful including physically and financially."

Fox's stance on the matter confused many online. Several users have questioned what she meant with her statement, arguing that her words were contradictory. Some added that anyone can be abused.

The defamation case between Depp and Heard continues to play out in the court, with Heard set to continue her testimony this afternoon.
