Nearly a year ago, on February 19th, 2022, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce after 6 years of marriage to Kanye West. The divorce is still stalled while Kardashian is eagerly trying to change the "marriage" status to "single" but West refuses to sign, according to E News.
A source told E News that:
"Moving this divorce along isn't something he's acting quickly on, despite Kim's efforts."
Recently, the two have been exploring their new relationships, Kardashian with Pete Davidson and West with Julia Fox. West has been very vocal about his discord with Kardashian. In now-deleted Instagram posts, he wrote:
"SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL ?"
The TikTok account in reference is a joint account between Kardashian and her firstborn child, North West. The account began posting back in November of 2021, which gave West ample time to communicate his concerns with Kardashian privately. Kardashian responded on social media with:
"Kanye's constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create. As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision — because it brings her happiness."
Kardashian further expressed her point on her Instagram story:
"Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye's obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all."
West's responded to the post saying:
"What do you mean by main provider?"
Kardashian has not responded since that comment from West as she's known for taking the high road in their relationship. An inside source told E News that Kardashian is:
"doing everything for her kids to give them the most stable and normal life that she can."
