It's big week for TV and movies. Our Sonia Isabelle is here to break down the latest news on today's Dish.
House Of Gucci
First off, Lady Gaga is back in the spotlight, flexing her acting skills once again. Gaga's co-stars include Al Pacino, Jared Leto, Salma Hayek, and Adam Driver. The all-star cast portray the Gucci family. Gaga leads the pack as 'The Black Widow' or Patrizia Reggiani. The a-lister had this to say about the role:
"Ridley Scott, the legendary director, he created something that's actually about a family, an Italian family, Italian family business. And what happens when a woman tries to infiltrate this business and the men shut her down."
House of Gucci is in theaters now.
King Richard
Also in theaters is another drama based on a true story. This time around, it's Will Smith stepping into the shoes of Richard Williams, father of Venus and Serena. Smith sat down with the real life iconic tennis duo and said:
"It was such a relief that you guys enjoyed it and felt like your father and your family were honored."
King Richard is in theaters and streaming on HBO Max now.
American Music Awards - ABC
In award show news, the American Music Awards are almost here. With Cardi B as host, this is sure to be a night of fun. Plus, Olivia Rodrigo is making her debut as a performer at the award show. Not only that, but Rodrigo herself is leading the pack with seven nominations ahead of the ceremony. Other noteworthy nominees include Ariana Grande, Drake, and Silk Sonic. In fact, the duo comprised of Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak are set to take the stage as well performing songs from their new album An Evening With Silk Sonic. You won't wanna miss this one. The AMAs air this Sunday on ABC at 8:00pm ET.
Malfunction: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson - FX (Hulu)
In other news, Janet Jackson is the subject of a new docuseries. From the people who brought you Framing Britney Spears comes Malfunction: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson. The docu-series follows the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, the events leading up to it, and its aftermath. The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson is streaming now on Hulu.

The Food Network is shifting gears and taking on a whole new endeavor. Candy Coated Christmas is like nothing you've ever seen before on The Food Network: a scripted movie. Starring the Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond, Candy Coated Christmas is streaming now on Discovery Plus.
