Actress Holly Robinson Peete is telling us all about the two new Hallmark Christmas movies she is in this holiday season.
'The Christmas Doctor'
Holly Robinson Peete is The Christmas Doctor this year, as she stars in the movie as Dr. Zoey.
Peete says that the movie pays tribute to the hard-working doctors, who are helping their patients along with telling a Christmas story to lift your spirits. She describes her time working on the movie:
"I was executive producer, so I got a chance to really see this one through from soup to nuts, right? So I'm very invested in it, but it's a beautiful Christmas love story and it's real, a real beautiful homage to doctors and nurses and front-line workers, health-workers. And there's just a beautiful twist in it that gives me the chills just thinking about it, I could sob."
The Christmas Doctor airs on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, November 28th or can be streamed on the Hallmark Channel's website.
'Christmas In Evergreen: Bells Are Ringing'
Holly Robinson Peete plays the role of Michelle Lansing in the three previous Christmas In Evergreen movies in the series, and this year, the latest movie, Christmas In Evergreen: Bells Are Ringing.
Peete talks about where her character was last left off in the previous movie, Christmas In Evergreen: Tidings of Joy:
"My character, Michelle, has found love. When we last saw Michelle, she got a proposal and she made her mark as Evergreen's first female mayor. It's just a beautiful movie about Christmas and everything that's possible."
For a time of year when everyone's looking for a little extra joy, Peete knows that viewers come to the Hallmark Channel during the holidays expecting just that.
"Every year, people look forward to these Hallmark Christmas movies and every year Hallmark always delivers. I have to say, not just because we're talking about these, but I think this year's extra special, right? Evergreen is not just a beautiful Christmas movie but it's also a very diverse film."
Christmas In Evergreen: Bells Are Ringing premieres on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, December 5th.
