Netflix’s ‘Glow’ Cancelled Due To Coronavirus

What was supposed to be Glow's final season has now been cancelled.

The Netflix dramedy Glow began filming its fourth and final season when production was brought to a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Glow is a Netflix series that follows Ruth Wilder, played by Alison Brie, a struggling actress in Hollywood who finds a chance at success by joining the world of women's wrestling. The show was originally renewed for a fourth season in September of 2019, and they had just started production when the coronavirus pandemic hit.

Unfortunately, like many other productions, Glow had to shut down in March of 2020 due to COVID-19. Over the past months, Netflix has struggled to get the show back into production, due to the safety concerns and difficulties with large productions in Los Angeles.Glow also had a large ensemble cast, requiring them to be in close proximity with each other for the content of the show. Netflix ultimately decided they could not mitigate costs and health and safety risks of producing a fourth season of Glow during this pandemic, and cancelled the final season of the show.
