Another celeb has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, this time hitting the star of the highly anticipated DC film The Batman.
It has been first reported by Vanity Fair that Robert Pattinson has come down with COVID-19, resulting in filming to halt after resuming production only days before. Pattinson is reportedly in self isolation in accordance with procedures. A Warner Bros. spokesperson addressed the matter in a statement:
"A member of 'The Batman' production has tested positive for COVID-19 and is isolating in accordance with established protocols...Filming is temporarily paused."
Variety has also reported that The Batman was seven weeks into production before shutting down in March due to the pandemic. With taping taking place in London, England is currently the home of various big name productions including Jurassic World: Dominion.
Starring Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Ferrell, and more, The Batman is arguably the most anticipated movie superhero movie since Avengers: Endgame. Warner Bros. has it slated to premiere on October 1st, 2021.
