It's been a year from the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, and the vaccines are our ray of light after a time of darkness. Here's the list of some of the celebrities who already got the vaccine against COVID-19!
Dolly Parton
Country singer Dolly Parton received her first dose of the vaccine on March 2nd and shared an Instagram photo captioned: "Dolly gets a dose of her own medicine." Parton has donated at Nashville's Vanderbilt University 1 million dollars for the development of vaccines in 2020.
Jane Fonda
Before winning the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes, Jane Fonda got vaccinated on February 1st and can assure us that it wasn't painful!
Patrick Stewart
Patrick Stewart waited for four hours before getting the vaccine on January 22nd, but it was all worth it. The actor shared his experience on Instagram thanking the health workers and scientists "for their sacrifice and service."
Arnold Schwarzenegger
But Stewart wasn't the only one that filmed his experience. Arnold Schwarzenegger posted on Instagram a video on January 20th when he got vaccinated, captioning "come with me if you want to live."
Martha Stewart
Martha Stewart got her vaccine on January 11th and shared the moment as well, grateful to be in the approved age group and waiting "in line with others."
Ian McKellen
On December 17th the vaccine was given to Gandalf The Grey, ahem... Ian McKellen, wearing an adorable scarf and wants to make sure that he "would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone."
Andrew Lloyd Webber
But Andrew Lloyd Webber got it way before anyone in this list did -- on August 13th, Webber shared a post while completing the Oxford COVID-19 trial.
This list is only partial -- many other celebrities are getting vaccinated now. And while we wait for our turn, we can thank the health workers and doctors for bringing us something we all needed: hope.
