Chrissy Teigen has had quite the tumultuous past few years. She tragically lost her unborn child with husband John Legend, watched her business, Cravings, skyrocket into success, and most recently, has quit Twitter.
Now, she's gracing the cover of PEOPLE Magazine's The Beautiful Issue, and we couldn't imagine a better-suited cover star.
Chrissy Teigen Graces the Cover of PEOPLE
In the issue, Chrissy details how she's raising her children, and all that she has overcome in the past few years, among other things.
In September of last year, Teigen and her husband faced the unimaginable when they lost their unborn son, whom they named Jack.
The Unimaginable Happens
Chrissy got raw and real on Instagram, sharing the pain she endured from the tragedy. "We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before," she shared with her followers.
Fans, close friends, and other celebrities that know Chrissy came flooding to her to give her the utmost support. For what some said, and more details on the tragic occurrence, visit this page.
In her PEOPLE interview, she gave readers insight into what the experience granted her, finding an upside. "I've learned how strong physically and mentally a body can be. I've learned how strong I am. This year has been a roller coaster for everybody in the world, including our little family," she said.
"Seeing people rally around us has been really beautiful. There have been things in the past year that I never thought John would have to see, but it's also been so wonderful that we have prevailed and still see each other with so much more love than we could have ever, ever imagined ever in our lives," adds Teigen. "Whatever love we put out into the world 10 years ago, we're getting it back tenfold. I feel every piece of love from everybody around the world."
Chrissy Quits Twitter
After the year she had, Chrissy decided to relinquish her unofficial title of "Mayor of Twitter" (dubbed to her by the app itself), and remove herself from the app entirely. The news came just 6 days ago, when she confirmed her departure on Instagram, stating "The platform no longer serves me as positively as it does negatively, so with that I bid you adieu," she continues, "I have to come to terms with the fact some people aren't gonna like me."
While she shuts out the bullies and returns to her authentic self, she instills the same morals in her two young children, daughter Luna, 4, and son Miles, 2. ""I'm an open, free spirit and I love kids to be kids. For us, kindness is such a big thing. When you meet our kids, they're very warm and friendly," she told PEOPLE. "You instill those things in them, but for the most part let them be creative and wondrous and spirited and curious beings."
Chrissy and John's Love Story
In her interview, Chrissy also gushes about her love for her husband John. "I can't wait to see salt-and-pepper John and me next to him with my silver hair. I really look forward to our children being hopefully the type of kids that come over every weekend for Sunday dinner," she says. "That would be incredibly meaningful to me. I will be so happy seeing my family all around the same table."
