23 days after saying goodbye to Twitter, Chrissy Teigen has returned and vows to "take the bad with the good."
The model tweeted earlier Friday, April 16, her first tweet since March 24. She said:
turns out it feels TERRIBLE to silence yourself and also no longer enjoy belly chuckles randomly throughout the day… https://t.co/h2OEWitYeG— chrissy teigen (@chrissy teigen) 1618576921
“turns out it feels TERRIBLE to silence yourself and also no longer enjoy belly chuckles randomly throughout the day and also lose like 2000 friends at once lol"
Back in March, Chrissy claimed she was leaving the social media platform for good after feeling enveloped by toxicity. She wrote, in a multi-tweet thread:
"I encourage you to know and never forget that your words matter. No matter what you see, what that person portrays, or your intention. For years I have taken so many small, 2-follower count punches that at this point, I am honestly deeply bruised"
Another tweet from the thread stated:
But it’s time for me to say goodbye. This no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think… https://t.co/KuxUw7ycYX— chrissy teigen (@chrissy teigen) 1616636381
While Teigen has taken breaks from social media before, based on her wording from this last time, many had assumed this might be goodbye for good.
But now, the cookbook author claims she wants to find a balance with enjoying Twitter, saying:
"I choose to take the bad with the good!!"
This comeback comes after her husband, John Legend, spoke on Chrissy's behalf on the platform on April 10. He relayed the message:
And she misses y’all— John Legend (@John Legend) 1618070643
"Chrissy would like me to tweet that if you were already prone to needing attention, you will absolutely experience extreme vaccine side effects"
