Chrissy Teigen said on Tuesday's Watch What Happens Live! that the she has been in contact with the Duchess of Sussex over the past few months, starting when Meghan reached out to her about the loss of her son.

Chrissy told Andy Cohen on the after show:

"She had written me about baby Jack... But yeah, she is really wonderful and so kind — just as kind as everyone says she is."

She continued:

"That's why you look at everything and you're like 'My god, what is absolutely wrong with people that they have to make this person out to be so malicious or so crazy?' when it's just as simple as them being as kind as everyone says they are."

Chrissy and her husband John lost their son, Jack, to a miscarriage this past September. Chrissy initially shared a heartbreaking post breaking the news to her followers on socials, and then wrote a personal essay for Medium in October.

In her essay she wrote:

"For weeks, our floors have been covered in flowers of kindness. Notes have flooded in and have each been read with our own teary eyes. Social media messages from strangers have consumed my days, most starting with, 'you probably won't read this, but…' I can assure you, I did."

Meghan then reached out to Chrissy, not too long after suffering a miscarriage of her own in July of 2020.

Teigen had also defended Markle over hate the Duchess was receiving on her essay opening up about her own miscarriage, titled "The Losses We Share." Published not long after Chrissy's in November, Meghan spoke of "unbearable grief" over the death of her unborn child.

Chrissy also added:

"Honestly, her truth has been her truth since the beginning."
