On Tuesday, former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all counts in connection to the death of George Floyd.
Chauvin has been charged with second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter.
In light of the proceedings, many celebrities have taken to social media to speak out on the verdict.

Oprah shared an image of Floyd alongside a message that read in part, "Relieved---and emotional in ways I didn't expect."
Barack and Michelle Obama
Barack Obama shared a statement on Twitter on behalf of himself and his wife, Michelle. "True justice requires that we come to terms with the fact that Black Americans are treated differently, every day," part of the statement read.
Cardi B
Cardi B kept it short but sweet, retweeting a tweet that reads "GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS" and adding "History".
Megan Thee Stallion
Megan Thee Stallion took to Instagram to post an infographic that shared Chauvin's counts and what each means. She wrote in the caption "JUSTICE," along with a couple of emojis and the #georgefloyd hashtag.
Lizzo
Lizzo stays vocal on her social media about pressing issues such as this, and this Instagram video she posted was no exception. She touched on some important caveats of the proceedings, challenging the titling of the results as "Justice". "Justice would be that nobody had to die for something like this to happen." Her message ended on a positive note, as she said "Find your peace. I love you" to her audience.
