Emmy season is here, and it is the time where everyone is at the edge of their seat waiting to see if their favorite show(s) got nominated for an award.
Without further ado, here are some the shows (and networks) that claimed some big nominations:

- The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (20 nominations)
- Succession/Ozark (both tied with 18 nominations)
- Netflix (160 nominations)
- NBC (47 nominations)
- RuPaul's Drag Race (10 nominations)
- Saturday Night Live (15 nominations)
- The Mandalorian (15 nominations)
Big Surprises
We LOVE a good surprise - so here are some Emmy nomination surprises that made the crowd and The Los Angeles Times jump for joy:
- Zendaya: Best Lead Actress (drama)
- The Mandalorian: Best Drama Series
- Insecure: Best Comedy Series
- Shira Haas, Unorthodox: Best Lead Actress (limited series/TV movie)
- The dynamic duo of Black-ish stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross: Best Lead Actor in a Comedy and Best Lead Actress in a Comedy, respectively
Big Snubs

The Emmys is simply not the Emmys with a few snubs in between - especially with 2020 being a very competitive year, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Here are some of the snubs that caught the world by surprise:

- Reese Witherspoon: Best Lead Actress (drama), Best Supporting Actress (drama), Best Lead Actress (limited series/TV movie)
- Ramy: Best Comedy Series
- Rhea Seehorn: Best Supporting Actress (drama)
- Better Things: Best Comedy Series
- Viola Davis: Best Lead Actress (drama)
- Daisy Edgar-Jones: Best Lead Actress (limited series/TV movie)
