According to Vulture, The Harry Potter films will magically disappear from HBO Max on August 25th and then make the switch to NBC's Peacock. This move is especially confusing as Warner Bros' owns the Harry Potter franchise. Frances Manfredi, President of content acquisition and strategy for Peacock, told Vulture:
"The Potter movies will play on the service during multiple windows between October and March. The first window will last for a month, with the movies then airing on NBCU's linear broadcast and cable networks (and, potentially, their websites)"

In addition to being on NBC's Peacock, the movies will be played on NBC's channels regularly. Frances Manfredi told Vulture:
"The Potter movies will play on the service during multiple windows between October and March. The first window will last for a month, with the movies then airing on NBCU's linear broadcast and cable networks (and, potentially, their websites). They'll then return to Peacock early in 2021."
Potter fans will be able to catch all 8 movies on the streaming service soon!
