"The champ is here."
John Cena made his WWE return Sunday night at Money in the Bank in a shocking entrance to close the first big show coming out of the COVID-19 year.
After Roman Reigns, the Tribal Chief, defeated Edge in the main event in Fort Worth, Texas, his spotlight was quickly stolen by the 16-time world champion, Cena, as his entrance music blared and the full-capacity crowd erupted.

"I want you to know this isn't a one-night thing, but it's special because it's the first night," Cena said.
"As always, I want to thank all the WWE superstars for putting their lives and their bodies on the line to entertain all of you but most importantly...I missed you guys," Cena said. "I really, really missed you guys."
Cena last appeared in WWE in April at WrestleMania 36, in which he was defeated by Bray Wyatt, The Fiend in a Firefly Fun House match.
However, the F9 star has kept busy since his departure, hosting the revival of Wipeout and starring in the upcoming The Suicide Squad, which is set to hit theatres in August.
The Fast and Furiousstar's return sets up a likely and epic John Cena and Roman Reigns smackdown for SummerSlam at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Aug. 21.
