TIME's 100 Nominees for 2020 Includes Real-Life Celebrities

This year's list of nominees include the biggest advocates and change-makers in our world during this unprecedented time.

TIME Magazine will release their annual 100 Most Influential People of the year tonight on ABC, and many of the nominees aren't your typical stars and leaders. To give you a glimpse of who's normally at the top of the list, the magazine awarded celebrities like Dwayne Johnson, Sandra Oh, Greta Thunberg, LeBron James as the most influential titans, icons, leaders, artists, and pioneers of 2019. But with so many powerful and unprecedented events that occurred this year, 2020's TIME 100 will look a little different.

The coronavirus pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement are undoubtedly the two most impactful events that occurred in the year of 2020. What better way to honor the leaders of these times than making them part of TIME's 100? Essential front-line and healthcare workers, plus Black Lives Matter protesters are the top nominees for this year's list.

Other nominees include Dr. Anthony Fauci, Beyoncé, Tom Hanks, Governor Cuomo, Maya Moore and Bubba Wallace.

Be on the lookout for the final list of TIME's 100 most influential people of 2020 tonight at 10 PM EST on ABC.
