Star Wars universeveteranDave Filoni will return as an EP for Bad Batch. Other stars include Clone Wars' Athena Portillo, and Star Wars Rebels Brad Rau. Carrie Beck will serve as co-executive producer and Jennifer Corbett will be the head writer.

The series follows the experimental clones of the Bad Batch (introduced first in The Clone Wars) as they find their way through a rapidly changing galaxy during the aftermath of the Clone War. The members of Bad Batch include a special squad of clones who differ from their fellow soldiers in the Clone Army. Each clone possesses a singular special skill, causing them to be extremely effective soldiers. In the post-Clone War era, these soldiers will take on dangerous missions as they struggle to stay together in a changing universe.

Agnes Chu, senior Vice President of content at Disney+ had praises to sing about the new addition to the Star Wars franchise.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch will be available for streaming on Disney+ in 2021.
