Sarah Paulson has been an integral of the American Horror Story franchise since season one premiered in 2011. Now, with a spin-off in the works, Paulson may have her turn at directing!
News of an American Horror Story spin-off titled American Horror Stories first arose with a post on creator Ryan Murphy's private Instagram in which he spoke about a zoom call with the cast members of the original series. In the post, Murphy wrote:
"we reminisced about the good times…when we will start filming the next season of the mothership…and other stuff I cannot print."
American Horror Stories will contain hour-long stand alone episodes where each one tells a different ghost story.
Paulson has recently been busy promoting another Ryan Murphy series that she stars in entitled Ratched. In a Netflix panel discussing the new show and the AHS spin-off she said:
"What can I say?" I'll be directing something."
Fans are excited that Paulson will be part of the spin-off and hope she will be acting in the series as well. No news about the series' premiere date has been released yet. In the meantime, you can see Paulson in Ratched on Netflix on September 18th.
