The Hollywood Reporter goes on to report that the film (based on the hit Broadway musical) starring Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and James Corden will start up production today at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood. The movie had two days left of shooting when the pandemic forced an industry-wide shutdown, and is now slated to film for the next four days. Not all of the stars are expected to be on set, however, as some had already wrapped their parts.

The Hollywood Reporter further revealed that since The Prom plans to film for multiple consecutive days, sources say it'll likely serve as a better test case for Netflix - which sources note has developed its own set of health and safety protocols.
An insider revealed this to The Hollywood Reporter:
"Netflix is serious about the plan they put together and is using this as a test run for their other productions."
It's not so smooth sailing as far as the COVID-19 pandemic is concerned, since the issues that are still being resolved consist of COVID-19 managers, the frequency and type of testing that should be offered to the cast and crew, the limit of 10 hours being set with workdays and sick day compensation, but at least the Netflix premiere will get us through the Broadway shutdown!
But whatever happens next, it's "time to dance" because tonight belongs to us!
Be on the lookout for The Prom premiering very soon on Netflix!
