Frequent collaborators Ryan Murphy and Sarah Paulson have joined forces once again to create the One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest prequel series Ratched. A premiere date has been released along with first-look photos of the show.

Ratched was first introduced back in 2017 when Murphy and Paulson planned to create this project together based off the book-turned-film One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, starring Jack Nicholson and Louise Fletcher. This new show will be the origin story of Nurse Ratched, portrayed by Paulson, and how she goes from a normal nurse to absolute monster as she works in a mental health facility set in 1940s California.
Starring alongside Paulson in this project will be Cynthia Nixon, Lenore Osgood, Gwendolyn Briggs, Judy Davis, Jon Jon Briones, Finn Wittrock, Charlie Carver, Sophie Okonedo, Alice Englert, Amanda Plummer, Corey Stoll, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Rosanna Arquette.
