Broadway has been put on pause since March due to the coronavirus pandemic. This has caused financial losses, productions closed or delayed, and thousands of actors being put out of work. It truly is an unprecedented time in history. Charlotte St. Martin, President of The Broadway League, said in a statement:

"We are determined to bring back the people who rely on this industry for their livelihood, and to welcome back all those who love this vital part of New York City, as soon as it is safe to do so. As so many of us in the Broadway community have been saying during this time - We'll be back, and we have so many more stories to tell."

While musicals such as Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, and other juggernauts are most likely going to return, it is unclear if newer musicals that had just opened or never got an opening night will. This is due to productions still paying rent for their theaters despite the shutdown.

Ticket holders for any performances through January 3, 2021 will receive a message from their point of purchase with information on refunds or exchanges.
