A big shakeup for fans of housewives in the Big Apple...

Bravo has officially announced that they are rebooting and recasting "The Real Housewives of New York," and that the changes will all be made before the premiere of the show's next season.

The network is searching for a "new and diverse group of friends to share their lives with the cameras for season 14." It's unclear if any of the ladies from season 13—Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Leah McSweeney and first Black Housewife in RHONY history, Eboni K. Williams—will return to the series.

Andy Cohen revealed on the casting,

"You know that we're at a crossroads for "RHONY." We've spent a lot of time figuring out where to go. And the plan that we've come up with, I think, is a real gift to the fans."

Cohen shared that the goal of the next season is to represent how truly diverse and eclectic the world of New York really is, adding,

"There are thousands of stories to tell here. This is the most multicultural, diverse, and energetic and exciting city in America: We are searching for a multicultural group of friends who really best reflect the most exciting city in the country. We're looking for a group of women who are real friends, and who are of diverse backgrounds, races and religions."

As for Eboni, Cohen said that the door is always open.

"We are interviewing multiple groups of friends. So certainly if Eboni is interested and has friends that would meet our casting goals, then of course they would be considered."

RHONY first aired in 2008. The most recently season ended in August 2021, and for the first time ever, had no reunion.
