'ODAAT' Creators To Move On From The Series


The series will not be finding a new home.

After airing 46 episodes, the co-creators of One Day at a Time has confirmed the comedy series will not be returning.

The news comes to light as it was announced two weeks ago Pop TV cancelled the series for a second time. The reboot co-creators Gloria Calderón Kellett and Mike Royce took to their social media to break the news that the series will not be finding a third home. In the messages posted below Kellett and Royce both expressed their thanks the hardworking crew and their dedicated fans.

The series was a reboot of Norman Lear's 1975 sitcom of the same name, One Day at a Time. Originally airing for three seasons on Netflix beginning in 2017 the series was cancelled, but then rescued by PopTV. The show followed three generations of a Cuban-American family living in one home of a recently divorced mother (Justina Machado) and her family; a daughter (Isabella Gomez), her son (Marcel Ruiz), and her mother (Rita Moreno) and also starred Stephen Tobolowsky and Todd Grinnell. Now cast has taken to their social media to express their reactions over the recent news.
