Jason Bateman returned to host Saturday Night Liveafter 15 years while country singer Morgan Wallen performed. Wallen was previously scheduled, but SNL canceled his performance due to the breaking COVID-19 safety protocols back in October. We're recapping favorite skits and performances from the episode. Take a look!
Jason's Monkey Trouble
For Bateman's monologue he talked about waiting for the end of 2020 and the previous time he hosted about getting attacked by a monkey.
Sleepover Gone Wrong
In the first skit of the night, a dad (Jason Bateman) questions his daughter's friends (Kate McKinnon, Heidi Gardner, Melissa Villaseñor, Ego Nwodim, Chloe Fineman) who stained the couch at a slumber party. This is a sequel to the popular skit when Adam Driver hosted in January 2020.
Pete Davidson's Eminem Parody
Pete Davidson parodies Eminem's music video "Stan". Santa Claus (Bateman) receives many Christmas letters from Stu (Davidson) asking for a PS5 for Christmas. Bowen Yang has a very funny Elton John cameo and included a cameo of Eminem himself.
Morgan Wallen Party
A skit that pokes fun at Wallen's most recent actions as he plays himself getting an important warning from his future selves (Jason Bateman, Bowen Yang). We're glad to see Wallen be part of the joke.
Won't Be Home For Christmas
Three women (Lauren Holt, Ego Nwodim, Chloe Fineman) call their families (Heidi Garner, Punkie Johnson, Kate McKinnon, Jason Bateman, Kenan Thompson) to tell them they won't be coming home for Christmas.
Morgan Wallens Performances
Musical guest Morgan Wallen rocked the house performing "7 Summers" and "Still Goin Down".
Weekend Update: Bailey Gismert
Of course Colin Jost and Michael Che deliver another strong Weekend Update, but it's teen movie critic Bailey Gismert (Heidi Gardner) who stole the segment. She stops by Weekend Update to discuss what movies she's been watching since movie theaters closed.
Santa’s Village
Looking to visit the mall Santa and Mrs. Claus (Jason Bateman, Cecily Strong), a couple (Mikey Day, Melissa Villaseñor) bring their daughter to meet them despite social distancing rules.
Next week star of Call Me By Your Name and Beautiful Boy Timothée Chalamet will host for the first time and will be joined with musical guest Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band.
