Lisa Vanderpump, Tyler Henry and more kick off Los Angeles Pride!
Los Angeles Pride kicked off in a BIG way for Lisa Vanderpump! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules star was honored with the Hollywood Legacy Award at the 7th Annual Reel to Real: Portrayals and Perceptions of LGBTQs in Hollywood at the Hollywood Museum. The event highlighted her achievements in the entertainment industry, particularly how she has used her platform to generate opportunities and awareness for the LGBTQ community.
BJ Korros of The Hollywood Moment caught up with Lisa on the red carpet where she told him that she's honored and humbled to receive the award from her peers.
"Pride weekend is such a huge deal to us...we support the LGBTQ community, so it's a wonderful moment"

expand=1]The event was packed with stars, including Tyler Henry, star of E!'s Hollywood Medium. The openly gay star took home the Hollywood Future Award, and he tells BJ that he's eager to reconnect with Lisa Vanderpump after her appearance on his show last season.
"It's so surreal, and I'm so thankful for the fact they even considered me. I really appreciate it" says Tyler upon receiving the award.
The red carpet ceremony continued when stars like Kate Linder of The Young and The Restless and Carolyn Hennesy of General Hospital chatted with BJ to share their thoughts on pride and acceptance. Carolyn put it sweet and simple, saying:
"No one's gonna tell my friends who they can love, marry, and live out the rest of their lives with”
We're with you Carolyn! With Pride events kicking off in Los Angeles, we're glad it began with a well deserved awards for celebrities fighting for the LGBTQ community.
