Rapper returns to Twitter after "maternity" leave

Lil Nas X is *finally* back and creating new music!

After four months of radio silence from the rapper, he finally returned to Twitter to unleash a whirlwind on his fans.

He first posted a video announcing his return. No need to apologize for the absence--not when there's new music on the way.

In the video, the "Montero" rapper states,

"I know y'all folks ain't seen me in a minute, but I've just been on some different s**t lately, for real. I'm gonna give y'all some new music [...] let y'all folks sit on that for a minute."

He then sent another two videos, with samples from his latest projects,

The first is called "Lean On My Body." The second is still untitled, but he's apparently looking for a feature!

The last bit of excitement came from screenshots of two new singles. One is titled "late to the party" and features Youngboy. The second features Saucy Santana and is called "down souf hoes," which the rapper claims is a "strip club anthem."

Lil Nas X didn't release a teaser of the songs, but asked,

"which one y'all want first?"

In a response to fans asking about his disappearance, he tweeted,

"why are people surprised i’ve been away for so long? have y’all really never heard of maternity leave?"

Lil Nas X had previously posted a joking maternity picture where he cradled his inflated stomach, before releasing a video where he was shown giving birth to his first album, "Montero." He told the nurse, "It's already Grammy nominated."

Now, fans can expect a second album. No release date has been announced for any single, but he'll be performing at the Grammys April 3, so fans may hear something new then.

Before showing us his hairstyles from the past four months, he tweeted,

"i’m so happy i’m back on the internet. i missed me so much."
