Less than two weeks after Blac Chyna brought her defamation lawsuit against the Kardashian family to court, a verdict has been reached.

The jury made their decision on Monday to award no damages to Chyna, who had accused the family of defamation and contract interference, ruling that the Kardashians did not unjustly harm her career.

The Kardashian-Jenners were not in court for the May 2 verdict. According to Kris, all five of her daughters were absent to attend the 2022 Met Gala.

Chyna's claims came after her series, "Rob & Chyna," was cancelled by its network. The "Kardashians" spin-off followed her relationship with Rob Kardashian, and was set for a second season until its termination.

According to the court documents, Chyna was seeking $109,635,021 in economic damage and $36,000,000 in general damages for "emotional distress" caused by the derailment of her reality television career.

On April 29, the judge found Kim innocent of the defamation charge, ruling that there was "no evidence" that she took a "responsible part" in publishing the alleged slanderous statements. The claims of contract interference went to the jury.

A week before the jury handed down their verdict, the Kardashians' attorney filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, writing,

"Before trial began, these claims were absurd because there was no documentary evidence, economic analysis, or expert testimony that would support them. [Chyna's] unsupported and wildly speculative claims for damages must not be allowed to go to the jury."

He claimed Chyna "did not testify to specific facts," and that she had not "introduced supporting documentary evidence in regards to her total income pre-and post-alleged injury." In other words, Chyna could not prove a loss of income after the Kardashian's actions.

While his motion was denied, Chyna's suit was ultimately unsuccessful. The jury awarded her no damages, bringing an end to the years-long saga.
