As if 2020 wasn't a good enough year for pop music already, 2021 doesn't seem to be slowing down at all!
Justin Bieber - 'Justice' 🎧
Justin Bieber's newest album, Justice, just dropped today!
The singer has released a slew of singles ahead of the album's release, including "Holy," "Lonely," "Anyone," "Hold On," and now, "Peaches."
This is the singer's sixth studio album and follows up his last album Changes approximately a year later.
Selena Gomez - Revelación 🌹
Selena Gomez is smashing records with her new Spanish EP, Revelación.
The singer topped the US iTunes chart with the EP, making it the first female Spanish EP to do so.
This coming after selena made headlines for announcing a possible early retirement from the music industry, which sparked fans, including Cardi B, to send love to the pop star on Twitter.
Taylor Swift - Grammy Queen 👑
After a widely successful 2020 with her albums Folklore and Evermore, Taylor Swift is re-recording her first six albums to obtain full rights and royalties to all of her old music.
After dropping "Love Story (Taylor's Version)," fans can expect the re-recording of her sophomore album Fearless (Taylor's Version) to drop April 9th!
Live Events Returning?! 🎤
We're all ready for concerts!
Las Vegas radio personality, Nudia Hernandez, shared her take on the live music scene for 2021.
"We are in this pandemic still. We're kind of bordering on wanting to hear live music and wanting to make sure that everyone is safe," Hernandez said.
Artists like The Weeknd, Justin Bieber and Michael Bublé all have plans to return to the stage on massive arena tours this year.
"So I am hopeful, but the only question is in what capacity. Are we able to fill the arena? 50%? 75%? That's something we are not sure of, but it is exciting to see dates on a calendar again."
Finally, Nudia told us that although not official yet, we should be hearing albums from Lorde and Adele this year!
"I keep my receipts! I have a list of artists that promised us new music last year that we did not get. I have to say... the duo I'm most excited for is Silk Sonic. This Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak collaboration kind of came out of nowhere. It's bringing a new sound, so I'm excited to see what kind of music is going to be trending once we're able to go back to "normal" life."
We're keeping our fingers crossed!
