The rapper's most recent fling breaks her silence.

Fans were more than disappointed when model Julia Fox defended her ex, Kanye West, for his recent Instagram behavior.

West was banned from Instagram for twenty four hours following a string of attacks against Pete Davidson, Kim Kardashian's new boyfriend, and racial slurs against late night show host Trevor Noah.

Regarding West's comments, Fox had previously told TMZ,

“Kanye’s harmless. I just think that’s his artistic creative expression. I know it’s aggressive, but I think if it really came down to it, I don’t think Kanye would hurt a fly.”

She recently took to Instagram to clarify her defense of West, saying,

“I would like to point out that I had not seen the latest Instagram posts at the time of this video. Believe it or not I have a life and a son, and I don’t have google alerts for this man!”

She continued, insisting,

“I thought this question was in reference to the music video.”

Fox clarified that she had not seen the hateful messages directed at Davidson or Noah, and that she was simply referencing the rapper's latest music video, "Eazy", where claymation West was shown kidnapping and burying Davidson alive. From her point of view, she was defending artistic expression and free speech--not hate speech.

West had previously defended the video when he posted a still to his Instagram, adding,

“Art is therapy just like this view. Art is protected as freedom of speech. Art inspires and simplifies the world. Art is not a proxy for any ill or harm. Any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended.”

Fox is aware she could remain silent on all the drama, but shares that "no comment" also has its downsides.

“Yeah, I could just not answer questions but then it would be ‘Julia is mad she salty’ etc and I’m not! It’s a real catch twenty two so please stop F’n asking me! I wish I had the answers, but I do not. I would like to remain an Indie Queen. The mainstream life isn’t for me.”
