Actor Joel Kinnaman, known for his roles in The Killing as well as RoboCop, is chatting with Advocate Channel on his role in The Informer, while giving an update on The Suicide Squad.

Joel Kinnaman is fighting a new set of villains!
The Informer follows Kinnaman as an ex-convict, trying to work his way to infiltrate a mob.
Playing the lead role of Pete Koslow, Kinnaman explains how his character fights some tough battles:
"When the movie starts, he's sort of on the end of his run with the FBI. They're just about to do the final thing, to put the nail in the coffin for this mafia syndicate, and then some s**t goes wrong, as they always do."
His character is faced with multiple forces, including the FBI, NYPD and the mafia. Big stars make up these forces in the film, including famous faces fans will recognize.
"Rosamund Pike, Clive Owen, Ana de Armas, Common... you know, it's a fantastic cast and great performances across the board. It's an action-packed, high-intensity dramatic thriller that has a lot of heart in it."

'The Suicide Squad's Upcoming Release In 2021 🎬
Along with his latest movie, Joel Kinnaman is prepping for his upcoming release for The Suicide Squad.
The iconic cast of 2016's Suicide Squad, including Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Pete Davidson and Idris Elba are all slated to return for the upcoming sequel, which is set to release in 2021.
Kinnaman, who plays the role of Rick Flag, reveals how shooting the film timed out perfectly, in regards to the COVID-19 shutdowns:
"'Suicide Squad' we had done just in time. They went into post-production when the world shut down, so it was perfect. 'Suicide Squad' is coming out August 6th, '21, so it's perfect."
