Halsey Opens Up About Recent Hospital Visits and More

After multiple hospital visits, the pop singer finds herself with a new diagnosis

Halsey, who uses they/them pronouns, recently shared on social media that they've been diagnosed with a rare disorder while being a newly single mother to their son, Ender Ridley Aydin.

Halsey has been very open with their health issues in recent months, and they recently took to Instagram Stories to reveal more.

"Obviously, my health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth," Halsey, who gave birth to their son, Ender, nine months ago, said. "I started getting really, really, really, sick… I was hospitalized for anaphylaxis [a potentially life-threatening allergic reaction] a few times and I had some other stuff going on."

They shared that due to their battle with Endometriosis-- which lead to the freezing of their eggs back in 2018-- they now find themself fighting Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a rare disorder that is estimated to only affect an estimate of 200,000 people a year. It has been linked to affecting the connective tissue such as the skin, joints, and blood vessels.

Halsey revealed that "after seeing a hundred thousand doctors,” they now find themself on a treatment plan, but are still seeking answers.

The "Bad Love" singer shared,

"I've been looking for answers to the root cause of some of these things, which may be an autoimmune disease. And I know I've had autoimmune issues for most of my life, especially having endometriosis."

As Halsey is soon scheduled to go on tour for their Love and Power Tour, they are keeping fans in the loop.

"I don't want anybody to be worrying," they said. "I'm really excited and I'm really confident that I'll be able to do it in a way that's healthy where I can perform my best for all of you."

We're wishing the star a speedy recovery!
