Meredith's Power of Attorney

We are left of four days after Meredith passes out in the parking lot. Throughout the episode, we see her in isolation as she is being treated as a coronavirus patient. Both Maggie and Amelia virtually converse with her to convince her to change her power of attorney. They aren't able to do much convincing, so Bailey has to tell her that Alex Karev is not the best option at the moment, as he lives across the country. Meredith finally chooses Richard. Not only is Meredith Richard's new responsibility, but Koracick admits he does not know what he is doing and asks Richard to take on his group of interns.

Things are a bit hectic for Koracick, as he runs into Teddy for the first time since she was caught accidentally recording their union. This is tough on him since he loves her but needs space.

Our Star Patients

Meredith is being treated as a patient and at the same time, there has been an uptick of COVID-19 patients and we see not only the interns trying to get through this tough time but also Maggie who is shocked about how many patients she is seeing die each day. In this episode, Jo is dealing with a pregnant woman who's baby is growing attached to her liver. Link's job is to save the hand of a sex therapist. The two care for their patients with success.

Meredith's Dream

So back to Meredith's Coronavirus dreams; her condition worsens and she either falls asleep or passes out. In her dream, she is back on the beach while her dead husband pays her a visit. She tries to approach him but falls flat on the sand. Derek laughs and tells her he loves her, saying that he will be right there for her when she is ready.

Who knows when her time will come but as for now, she is in better hands than before with Richard as her POA.
