Yes. We're in for a ride. For this entire season, Meredith Grey has been fighting against COVID-19. In an alternate universe on the beach, she has been meeting familiar faces from her past, like her friend George, her sister Lexie, Mark and of course, the love of her life, Derek Shepherd Aka McDreamy.
Tonight's no different, except that this could be the last time Meredith and Derek see each other. Meredith seems to get better, but will she actually be back? Or will she decide to stay with Derek?
In the trailer, Derek tells her that people love and need her, but she replies that she's very tired. Then:
"I want you closer." - Meredith
"If you get too close..." - Derek
"I'll never leave." - Meredith
Although we'll have to watch the episode to have our questions answered, one thing seems to be guaranteed: it's going to be emotional. The showrunner of the show, Krista Vernoff, confirmed this with a tweet.
