Most people probably haven't heard of Morgan Cooper, but they're about to. He created the Youtube trailer of a reimagined Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as a drama.
In West Philadelphia

Will is still a troubled boy from West Philadelphia who moves into a wealthy suburb with his uncle. After six seasons, Bel-Air will be an hourlong retelling of the original story but going deeper into biases, family conflicts and what it means to be a Black man in America today.
The Hollywood Reporter shared that Bel-Air has been in the works for over a year after Cooper trailer went viral and Will Smith himself saw it. Cooper posted the video in March 2019, and will now co-write the script, direct and serve a co EP on the project.
Producers and Cast
Will Smith is on board and has kept in touch with the cast including James Avery, Alfonso Ribeiro, Karyn Parsons and Tatyana M. Ali. The cast recently reunited over SnapChat and original producers Quincy Jones, Benny Medina and Will Smith will return as executive producers. Also, Chris Collins will be the show runner and co-write the script with Cooper. The reboot is happening and currently being shopped around to streamers like Netflix, Peacock and HBO Max.
This clip of Carlton dancing should get you excited for the reboot. If not, binge Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air on HBO Max now!
