Terry Fator at New York New York (November 26, 2020)
Famed ventriloquist and "America's Got Talent" winner Terry Fator will bring his new show, "Terry Fator: Who's the Dummy Now?," to New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for a limited engagement. Performances are scheduled to begin Thursday, Nov. 26 and run through Thursday, Dec. 31.
Fator will perform Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. at the New York-New York Theater.
"I couldn't be more thrilled to be getting back on stage at New York-New York with my old friends at MGM Resorts and my brand new show 'Who's the Dummy Now?,'" said Terry Fator. "I'm at my happiest on stage, in front of an audience. I can't wait to have the opportunity to make people smile, especially at such a challenging time."
Fator, a Las Vegas Strip performer of more than a decade, became a household name in 2007 when he won Season 2 of "America's Got Talent" with his unique brand of entertainment that combines singing, comedy and unparalleled celebrity impressions. After 25 years of honing his skills at venues and county fairs across the country, the Dallas-bred entertainer's big "AGT" win catapulted him into the upper echelon of entertainers, landing him at No. 2 on the 2013 Forbes' list of the top-earning comics behind only Jerry Seinfeld.
With a cast of characters including Winston, the Impersonating Turtle; Emma Taylor, the little girl with the big voice; Maynard Tompkins, the Elvis Impersonator; Duggie Scott Walker, the annoying neighbor and many others, Fator has been raking in awards, accolades and industry admiration ever since. Fator also has released a DVD "Terry Fator: Live In Concert," a country music CD "It Starts Tonight," as well as a series of children's books including Lamu, The Christmas Kitten.
George Kliavkoff, President of Entertainment & Sports for MGM Resorts International, said, "The opportunity to reopen Terry's new show at the New York-New York Theater is another important step in entertainment's return to Las Vegas. We have had a great partnership with Terry for more than a decade and are so pleased that fans will once again have the opportunity to enjoy his show."
In order to safely bring entertainment back to its resorts, MGM Resorts spent months developing and implementing its comprehensive Seven Point Safety Plan and its "Convene with Confidence" program, which outline the company's approach to protecting the health and safety of guests and employees. The multi-layered plans look at everything from sanitation stations, masking and physical distancing to digital solutions that minimize touch points as well as enhanced cleaning protocol.
